| Manuela Vukić was born on November 8, 1996, in Rijeka, Croatia. She graduated grammar school at the dr. Antun Barac High School in Crikvenica in 2015 and that same year started her studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb, Department of Animal Science. After completing three years of undergraduate studies, she became a Bachelor of Engineering in Animal Science. In 2019 she enrolled in the graduate study of Fisheries and Game Management. She worked on her master’s thesis at the Department of Fisheries, Apiculture, Wildlife Management and Special Zoology entitled “Tuna fishing techniques and supervision in the service of catch-based mariculture in the Adriatic Sea” and in September 2021 she obtained the title of Master of Engineering in Fisheries and Game Management. In June 2022 she begins to work at the Chair of Marine Engineering, as a junior research associate on the project “INTEL-MARIC”. Research interests are related to mariculture, analysis of the fish farming sustainability, technological and farming innovations in mariculture, recirculating aquatic systems, and the analysis of the socio-economical impact of fisheries in Croatia. |
